About Us
Located on the Shirdi-Manmad State Highway, the
Vishwatmak Jangli Maharaj Ashram is about 7 kilometers
(4 miles) from Shirdi. The ashram runs under the
guidance of spiritual guru Vishwatmak Gurudev Janglidas
Maharaj (livingly called Babaji). This
Spiritual-Cum-Socio-Educational Centre aims at
teaching, preaching, guiding, and experiencing the soul.
It also runs a co-educational residential school for
children.
Jangli Maharaj Ashram holds Meditation Classes and
Satsangs (religious sermons) occasionally, besides
conducting various projects in religious and educational
fields. On a day before the full moon, a holy meeting
called Anugraha (Mantra- Diksha) is arranged through the
night in the presence of Sadguru Janglidas Maharaj.
Also known as Kokamthan Ashram, the ashram trust has
branches in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh,
Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Mumbai and many other places
offering a range of Cultural, Educational, Philosophical
and Social activities.
How to reach Vishwatmak Ashram
Shirdi is on the Ahmednagar-Manmad Highway, about 250 kilometers (156 miles) from Mumbai and 75 kilometers (47 miles) from Nashik. You can choose to fly into Nashik and then take a bus, taxi or train to Shirdi. Shirdi is accessible on the Central Railway line; get off at Manmad (65 kilometers/41 miles from Shirdi) or at Kopergaon (18 kilometers/11.25 miles). Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) runs buses from all major destinations.
